Wine and MS Office equation editor

Post by zoof »

Hi,

I'm running Debian Stretch with the backported wine (4.0-1~bpo9+2) and I can't seem to get equations working properly. The document was created by pandoc with an original LaTeX source file and opens fine on a Windows machine (https://imgur.com/a/bVuI2Qt) but not on my Linux machine (https://imgur.com/a/bSOwqI2). I have gdiplus, usp10 enabled. The key difference between the two is that the Windows machine has Office 2013 while my linux machine is only running Office 2007. My guess is that wine is not seeing the correct fonts on my linux machine but I'm not sure how to fix it (I did copy c:\windows\Fonts to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/).

Thanks!

Better install the fonts using winetricks e.g. ``winetricks corefonts``; But i don`t know if that`s really the solution to your problem.
