USB dongle not detected

I’m trying to run the Bosch Diagnostic Tools software (v.5.4.2.0) on wine 4.0, kubuntu 18.04.2 as a host. The software needs to access a USB dongle to run. I can see the dongle with lsusb, but the software fails to detect it.

Any help in resolving this would be much appreciated! :)

If the software needs to install a windows hardware driver, it won't work at all under wine. Wine doesn't support Windows hardware drivers, apart from HID devices (mainly gamepads).
