Settlers 6 - bad performance

Post by jury » Wed Feb 20, 2019 12:34 pm

In wine version 4.2 the nasty "broken world geometry broken" was fixed. It looks fine now, but the performance is making it impossible to play. I get 1-2 frames per second. In erlier wine versions the performance was perfect ( but the broken geometry made it unplayable ).
Any clues if it can be made playable performance wise?

I'm on Mint 18.3 Xfce. Here is my hardware output of "inxi -F":

If it goes for winetricks I did only d3dx9, as without it all I could see was a cursor on a black screen.

I will attach output of "wine your_app.exe &> /tmp/log.txt 2>&1" when someone will tell me how to attach a file here as when trying to attach log.txt I'm only getting a message that txt extension is not allowed. I tried to change the extension to some different ones, but it wouldnt let me attach it always saying that the extension "blabla" is not allowed.
