Creating .deb package from compiled source

Post by Coffeeinator »

Hi all! ;)

I've manage to compile specific version of Wine (custom patches, PBA and esync enable etc.). I need to make .deb package from compiled source for use it in my snap package and publish it in a ppa repo. I've try some guides from the Internet but I always stuck on extracting files to appropriate folders. Anybody know how to do it properly and could provide step by step guide (I can compile software but I'm totally new packaing thing)?

I've answered your other question about the WineHQ OBS packages, but this one isn't a Wine question at all; we do not publish to PPAs or build snap packages. General questions about building .deb packages or using PPAs should be asked on the Ubuntu forum; questions about creating snap packages belong on the snap forum.
