play multiples games

Post by youbloub »

hello,
on my laptop, I have many games, from Wolfenstein 3D to DOOM (4),
and all of these games works better on a specific version of wine.

actually under Arch linux at each update of wine, I get some of my games that stop working.

So my question is: How to manage to get all my games working by using the best version of wine for each game ?

may I install multiple wine,
or does prefix will make the job ?

how to do this ? (configure a launcher for a game)

thanks

Lutris supports using multiple versions of Wine on a system.

Lutris also supports install scripts for many games. These are available to peruse on the Lutris website.
See: Lutris: Games.

See: You'll probably need to disable the Lutris runtime on Arch Linux, see: To my knowledge, Gentoo, is the only Linux distribution to support installing ("unlimited") multiple versions of Wine, through the stock package manager.
