Memory-Map v6 on Mint 18.3

Post by banjoman »

Trying to get Memory-map software V6, to work on my Sony Vaio, running Mint 18.3 under WINE. It seems to install and run ok, but I cannot access the internet in order to sign in to my account - and therefore activate my OS maps.

The technical support do not deal with their software running under WINE on Linux!! The Mint forum has not been able to shine any light on the problem.

On the Wine App Data pages, Memory-map gets a gold rating - tested on Debian 9, but with workarounds.
What works

General mapping properties, GPS import/export, map overlay features, 3D display

What does not

Installation requires workarounds

Workarounds

Requires library overrides:

api-ms-win-crt-multibyte-|1-1-0
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0
api-ms-win-crt-stdio-|1-1-0
ucrtbase
vcruntime140
However, I do not know if these apply to Mint, and if they do, how to implement them. Any help or pointing in the right direction would be gratefully received.... thanks
