TnTConnect will not install

Post by QuimaxW »

It used to work. I don't remember exactly what version broke; somewhere around 2.5 or 2.6. Now though, the installer starts, extracts the stuff, but then it all dies.
I tried the regression testing, but after a week of building wine, I never got a working build by with the instructions. My system also took about 4 hours for each make attempt only to have "version mismatch" errors that I oculdn't figure out.

Anyways...I need help, but have little to offer up front. The end message that I get from running the instller is:

Code: Select all

0042:err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 944 bytes in thread 0042 eip f7d8722b esp 01ed0f80 stack 0x1ed0000-0x1ed1000-0x1fd0000
if that helps at all.

What commands will give the most useful debugging output? I've been in contact with the program's developer as well and he's willing to help also.

The program can be downloaded from: https://download.tntware.com/tntconnect/archive/3.5.1/
I'm using Arch Linux, with wine 3.7
