WINE won't work un ubuntu 18.04?
After some trying, I thought I had wine installed properly. When i check the version in the terminal, it says Wine command is unknown, but can be installed through install wine-stable, which running that tries to install and then says it's already installed. But I can't open anything with wine. On 14.04, I could do Open With and select Wine for .exe files, but it won't show in the open with list, or in any of the application menus. Even the software center says it's installed.

How did you install Wine? Did you follow the instruction on https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu?
Re: WINE won't work un ubuntu 18.04?
Yes, those were the first instructions I tried. That's when I started getting the missing dependencies issue, but I found another forum post that showed which ones to install so i could install wine-stable.They said that wine now needs libfaudio0, and this was the command they said to run so i could install wine:
wget https://download.opensuse.org/repositor ... _amd64.deb
wget https://download.opensuse.org/repositor ... c_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i libfaudio0_19.07-0~bionic_amd64.deb libfaudio0_19.07-0~bionic_i386.deb
Also, I tried using an exe file through PlayOnLinux, and it worked succesfully. Now Wine is an option to open exe files, but the icon for it is a gray square with a crossed out circle over it, like it's missing the image.

Did you install the winehq-stable package? When i check the version in the terminal, it says Wine command is unknown
Re: WINE won't work un ubuntu 18.04?
Yes, i tried the winehq-stable. I tried a bunch of stuff, and used to synaptic to clear it all out and retry a couple times. Don't know what i did, but using playonlinux first seems to have fixed it.
