Getting an error on program installation

Post by shag00 »

I am trying to install waves (a collection of VSTs) into wavelab, both programs are over 10 years old.

I am using a Win 7, 32 bit prefix.

After starting the installation this pops up in the terminal:

Code: Select all

0009:err:shell:HCR_GetFolderAttributes should be called for simple PIDL's only!
After cntrl-C this appears in the terminal

Code: Select all

0009:fixme:shell:SHChangeNotify ignoring unsupported flags: 2001
If I proceed with the installation it does not install correctly, though there may be other errors.

Is there a way to remove this error?

Have you tried setting the Windows version to XP?

Setting the prefix to Windows XP did not change anything. In Windows this program operates on Windows 10.

Actually, changing to windows xp was necessary, although there was another one but brought up the next issue which I will post separately.
