Sega Model 2 Emulator 1.1a

I have tested Sega Model 2 Emulator 1.1a on my Windows 10 partition and it runs flawlessly, using the same roms on Kubuntu 16.04 with Wine I get the following:

If you have a problem with this program, please post the name and version number of your Linux distribution, the version number of Wine and a terminal output of the problem.

I have winex86 version 5 and box86 in raspberry pi4 with retropie 4.7 (raspbian) and desktop lxde.
I install winetricks d3dcompiler_43
When i lunch the program i have this error

Maybe it needs d3dcompiler_47 instead, it's definitely not using native d3dcompiler.

Yes, because you didn't use the winetricks command. Create a new wineprefix and use the winetricks command, it makes that work for you!

I change version of sega modeler. If i use modeler 1.1 i have error that i write but if i use modeler 0.9 the game work.

you mean i have to use winetricks d3dcompiler_47 command? but I had already done this. you mean i have to use winetricks d3d_compiler_47 command? I had first installed decompiler 42 and then 43. I had also installed all the winetricks components written on this page.
then from winecfg I had removed both of them. finally from the winetricks dll menu I had checked d3dcompiler 47 for install it.

You must have done something wrong, because winetricks marks them as "native", not "builtin, native"

Have tested on my end. Loads fully and runs smoothly with the right configuration in the ini file.
However, when getting in to full screen, it runs and then hides in the taskbar unless in windowed mode.

Am running with Mint 20.03, and using the wine tricks d3d_47 set up, maybe could be a fix for this? Again, in windowed it runs fine, but needs to be configured.
Any ideas?

Linux Mint 20 is the problem. In general it has problems running wine in full-screen. The Cinnamon desktop environment doesn't properly support Wine's resolution switching. Cinnamon needs to be fixed.

There is a workaround solution for Mint 20 that can be done for the model 2 emulator, that I just thought of while messing with the emulator's config file. You have to set Wine's virtual desktop, and the emulator's full-screen mode to match your current display resolution.

Configure Wine:
* Type winecfg in the terminal
* Go to the graphics tab on Wine Configuration
* Select Emulate a virtual desktop
* Enter the display resolution of your monitor where it says desktop size
* Click Apply, and than OK

Configure Emulator:
* Open the EMULATOR.INI file in a text editor from your model 2 installation folder
* Where it says FullScreenWidth=640 & FullScreenHeight=480, change the 640x480 to your monitor's resolution.
* Save the file

So your desktop resolution, wine's virtual desktop resolution, and the emulator's config file fullscreen resolution should all be set to the same resolution.

Start up the emulator through wine.
* Go to Video -> Fullscreen Resolution -> Custom (Set in .ini)
* Start your game
* Than select Video -> Switch to Fullscreen

Changing the full-screen resolution in the EMULATOR.INI forces the emulator to upscale the game to that resolution. If your computer can't handle upscaling to that resolution the emulator will run slow.
I hope this helps. I won't be trying to fix Mint 20. Mint 21 is around the corner and I don't have to jump through all these hoops with Lubuntu 21.10.

* Go to the graphics tab on Wine Configuration
* Select Emulate a virtual desktop
* Enter the display resolution of your monitor where it says desktop size
* Click Apply, and than OK

Configure Emulator:
* Open the EMULATOR.INI file in a text editor from your model 2 installation folder
* Where it says FullScreenWidth=640 & FullScreenHeight=480, change the 640x480 to your monitor's resolution.
* Save the file

So your desktop resolution, wine's virtual desktop resolution, and the emulator's config file fullscreen resolution should all be set to the same resolution.

Start up the emulator through wine.
* Go to Video -> Fullscreen Resolution -> Custom (Set in .ini)
* Start your game
* Than select Video -> Switch to Fullscreen

Changing the full-screen resolution in the EMULATOR.INI forces the emulator to upscale the game to that resolution. If your computer can't handle upscaling to that resolution the emulator will run slow.
I hope this helps. I won't be trying to fix Mint 20. Mint 21 is around the corner and I don't have to jump through all these hoops with Lubuntu 21.10.
