Hi,
I have a USB Midi keyboard connected to my Fedora 28 box running Wine 3.3. I'm running Ivory Cantible a "soundfont" style piano synth which although old is working surprisingly well in Wine!
However, I have had latency problems which were reduced by using winetricks to switch to alsa and ensuring alsa didn't default back to pulseaudio.
It's nearly there but there's still a slight latency which makes it (just) unusable. If I run the program in Windows 10 there's no latency, so it must be possible.
Can you advise what possible actions I could attempt to trim the latency?
Cheers!
Andrew

Re: Linux|Wine|USB Midi|Alsa - Latency
Also tried the kernel-rt (realtime) package which was noticeably slower!
Re: Linux|Wine|USB Midi|Alsa - Latency
Hi, I just got Ivory grand pianos with Cantabile VST software, same issue under Wine 4.6, big latency 0.2s between key pressed and sound starting. Does it come from sound delay or from key pressed delay? Because mouse click on the keyborad picture seems to have also this latency.
