I apologise since this must be a FAQ but I can't for the life of me imagine what search argument I should use.
I have a Windows-based email program running under Wine but when a message contains a url, the system cannot call my linux version of Chrome or Firefox. It does not either call Internet Explorer which I understand is found in Wine. I want it to call the linux version of Chrome. There are probably a dozen other similar calls which can be handled the same way.
I have a feeling that I have 'solved' this problem once before by copying the program which calls linux Chrome and naming the copy Chrome.exe but I assume there is a neater way of doing this.
