No internet connection linux x64 with x86 programs

Hello,

I'm trying to launch several programs on linux ( "steam", "stronghold crusader", "stronghold crusader from steam", "Happy Foto"), but all of them do not have internet (in steam it is possible to download games, but the games do not have an internet connection).
I think it is because I have a x64 linux, and the programs are x86.

I'm using a x86 Wineprefix with wine 2.21 and 2.22 (both have the same problem). I already tried to the solutions from https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. ... =&iId=3906 for stronghold and the same for crysis.

In Happy Foto it comes the message that it trys to connect to the server, but it is not possible
I Already tried to install lib32-nss-mdns because it is written in the Wine FAQ, but it does not change anything.

Is there something a logfile, where I can have a look which library is missing?
Do somebody know how I can solve this problem?

If steam works, that means there is probably no general problem with wine and internet.

Please provide a log.

My first bet is you've a missing 32-bit TLS library which is hard requirement for any remote SSL/TLS (https) connection.
Wine will complain about this - in the terminal output.

steam shows:

But the internal browser does not show anything. In some versions of wine (I think it was 2.21) the internal browser in steam worked but other applications internet do not.

Steam needs to be started with -no-cef-sandbox to work around bug 39403.

There's nothing in the other console output you posted that is related to internet connections, and the fact that Steam and gameranger can connect indicate that this is not a general connection problem with Wine.

There is actually a number of recommendations for installing and using the Steam client under Wine.
See: WineHQ AppDB: Game Tools / Steam / Official Release ...
I update the page as often as is necessary - to document any recommended workarounds for new Steam Client breakages.

Wine complains, in the terminal output, if a TLS connection (aka https:// link) cannot be resolved due to a missing TLS library (with a warn: message).
So you must have had the necessary library installed already.

It's would be best not to try to group lots of applications together under one umbrella of: "No internet connection"...
Especially since Wine just hooks into any existing Internet Connection your GNU/Linux system has.
Just deal with them on a "case by case" basis.
