I am hoping this provides useful information about functions in the api that can be used by the opengl wrapper to incorporate DX 11. Seems microsoft is going to end DX soon, and that may cause people to move to linux and put pressure on gaming companies to come to opengl or vulkan

yes, read it all. thought the api information was relevant to working on the dx11 in wine, since dx9 is going away. Here is another article from 2013 that goes along with it, in regards to the end of directx.

MS will never stop its best game maker trap. And if they do, it's because they probably found a new/better way to enchain game creators again.
