[Arch] Launch app via webpage

Post by acrylicus »

I am quiet new to WINE, in the respect that this is the first time I have ever used it.

However - I managed to successfully install some software called "MSP Connect Viewer", a tool used by my company (made by solarwinds) to allow me to easily connect to Windows servers at the click of a button.
Of course, I choose to be difficult by running Linux, and had been getting by using a Windows VM, which I've now decided to ditch.

- On a Windows computer, the process is as follows:
- Go to n-central (the monitoring/jump page for servers)
- Select 'connect with MSP' for the server you want
- If you dont already have the application, an EXE will download
- When run it is installed to C:/users/<user>/AppData/Local/
- It will then try to launch MSP Connect via the browser connecting to http://mspancsxvp/<assortedcharacters>
- MSP will then open and you will be magically at the login screen of whatever server you wanted

I get as far as step 4, MSP connect successfully installs via WINE. Thing is, I don't know how I can launch it via the browser.

I tried the WINE browser but it doesn't even open the webpage.

All suggestions are appreciated!
