What is truly the new version of Wine

I keep seeing version 2.9 all over the place and someone on one of my other topics said 2.9 was the latest, but the home page and the download pages of WineHQ both say 2.18 is the latest. What is the latest???

This page is updated almost immediately a release is tagged (for Wine Stable or Wine Development).

See Wine Staging News ...
Wine Staging has a delayed release cadence - typically 4-5 days after Wine Development releases.

Everything else is just noise... 8)
