Ubuntu 16.04 and ImgBurn

Post by mapomme1108 »

Hello,

I use Ubuntu 16.04 on a Qnap NAS TS-251+

I have installed WineHQ-devel and ImgBurn 2.5.0.0

I have burned and verified a CD-R
I have burned a DVD but the verification fails

I can not burn a blu-ray.
Here are the error messages when I try to burn a blu-ray :

Any help would be appreciated

@mapomme1108,

You can use ImgBurn 2.5.8.0 with Wine.
You really need to update to this latest release version - for better device and disc compatibility...

You would need to setup a 32-bit WINEPREFIX set to Windows XP compatibility (using the winecfg utility).
See WineHQ FAQ ...
I've got it installed on all my systems. Works a treat (as it does under native Windows)...

Make sure you are using an up-to-date copy of Wine: see WineHQ: Ubuntu Download ...
  • Do the errors occur if you use a BD-Writer hooked up via a SATA bus (which is always the preferred choice)?
  • What's is I/O and CPU load like on your NAS?
Burning DVDs and BDs is very timing dependent.
I personally wouldn't like to do this on low-end hardware - especially without an SSD or two (to avoid buffer under-runs)!
