I have just bought 2 Contour3 camera's and after installing the software to be able to view/edit/setup the camera and the video files. I have discovered that I am unable to do anything to the camera, i.e. edit camera settings.
I've included a screenshot to explain what I mean. The options are greyed out.
do I have to tell wine a USB device number, like when creating a virtual desktop?
If not, how do I solve this issue?
Thanks

Problem with program detecting USB device
Re: Problem with program detecting USB device
If the cameras can be mounted as standard USB mass storage devices, Wine should be able to browse the files on them like any other mounted drive. If the cameras can only be mounted PTP/MTP, you are out of luck, as Wine does not support those type of mounts.
As for controlling the camera settings, if communication with the camera is pure serial over USB, you may be able to get Wine to see it by symlinking a com port to the device. https://wiki.winehq.org/Wine_User%27s_G ... llel_Ports

Re: Problem with program detecting USB device
It can be mounted as a standard USB.
Do I need to mount it before running the Contour SW?
In winecfg there's a 'drives' setting, which I've selected 'autodetect' and the Camera memory card popped up, yet when I run the SW, the options are still greyed out!
I'll have a look at the link you provided

Re: Problem with program detecting USB device
I've taken a screenshot of the 'drives'settings in winecfg. The Contour memory card is detected, as 'J', yet the SW does NOT 'see' it.
