I downloaded the installation software for Metastopk and ran the download with wine <appname> it seemed to install fine
I then tried to run the app itself and got the error
Users-MacBook-Pro-3:~ user$ wine mswin
wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\mswin.exe"
I have hundred down the installed software physical location
Users/user/wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Thompson Reuters/TRD 6/Program/MSWin.exe
but am unable to get it to run
I use a macbook pro, running el capitan and the wine version is 2.0
Don't know what other information I can provide to help so just let me know, cheers
It may be the install is not right, is there a log file anywhere that might show what happened during installation? e.g. if a symlink was not created properly?

As an update I loaded the wine installed internet explorer by typing in wine explore and that worked perfectly, so it feels like something went wrong during the installation of metastock, perhaps it didn't complete properly even though the file is in place
