EXE no response

Post by rhob242 »

I have this Repo: WineHQ ~ https: //dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/fedora/25
I have these packages installed on Fedora 25.
wine-stable-common.i686 1:2.0.1-1 @WineHQ
wine-stable64.x86_64 1:2.0.1-1 @WineHQ
winehq-stable.x86_64 1:2.0.1-1 @WineHQ
Im trying to install WinRAR so I can open .CBR files that Mcomix fails to open.
The exe will not respond when trying to open with Wine, no EXEs will respond.
I searched the internet and these forums and found no help., and I'm just an average user no expert.
How can I get this EXE file to run and install?

Do you mean in the Gnome 3 File Manager files (etc.)?

Because generally it's recommended to install Windows applications, running on Wine, using the command line... See Wine Users Guide: 3.1 How to install and run Windows programs .

Then you can use the Wine created (or custom) .desktop file launchers to launch your Windows applications - under Wine - in your chosen Desktop Environment.
Any troubleshooting/ issues - you drop back down to the command line. 8)
