Broken NVIDIA RandR detected, falling back to RandR 1.0

Post by gestalt »

Hey guys,
so I tried to get WINE running and had the error mentioned in the title. I need some additional help or more possible solutions. I protocol what I have already tried.

https://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#Broken_NVID ... _RandR_1.0
I tried the .conf-File fix, forcing a resolution. While xrandr is just giving me my set resolution as an output. xrandr --q1 is giving several resolutions.

Code: Select all

 SZ: Pixels Physical Refresh
*0 1680 x 1050 ( 484mm x 303mm ) *50 51 52 53
 1 1440 x 900 ( 415mm x 259mm ) 54
 2 1366 x 768 ( 394mm x 221mm ) 55
 3 1280 x 1024 ( 369mm x 295mm ) 56
 4 1280 x 800 ( 369mm x 230mm ) 57
 5 1280 x 720 ( 369mm x 207mm ) 58
 6 1024 x 768 ( 295mm x 221mm ) 59
 7 800 x 600 ( 230mm x 173mm ) 60
 8 640 x 480 ( 184mm x 138mm ) 61
 9 1680 x 945 ( 484mm x 272mm ) 62
Current rotation - normal
Current reflection - none
Rotations possible - normal left inverted right
Reflections possible - X Axis Y Axis
The open-source driver is not an option for me, it has horrible performance on some games I run natively on Linux.

Some googling actually came up with using winetricks. https://askubuntu.com/questions/267936/ ... -randr-1-0
Also hasnt worked for me.
