wine appilcation won't open

i just installed wine from wine hq and i still can't get the wine app to open or run any windows aps.

MacOS or Linux? What exactly have you tried to do? Note that you can't just "run wine" by itself; you use Wine to run Windows executables.

I'm running ubuntu 16.04.1 I tried running mp3 rocket and power dvd

Linux I've tried to run mp3rocket it's an exe. File and power dvd and it's an exe. File also they ran on windows fine would like to run them on linux and qb bit torrent will not work

You say you've tried to run these apps, but I don't see anything about installing them. Did you install them in Wine? If you're trying to run these apps from a Windows partition, that's not supported.
