I created a 32 bit wine prefix using winetricks. In winetricks I specified that .NET 4.6.2 be installed. Winetricks began installing all prior versions of .NET, and after installing .NET 4.0 quit with an error.
.NET 4.0 is good enough for Quicken 2016, so I decided to proceed with its installation using the instructions at:
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. ... &iId=32927
I found it necessary to remove the PDF printer driver as instructed on the web page. After removing this, installation completed.
When I launch Quicken it opens a black window, and so there is nothing I can do with it. What is the solution?

It's not precisely settled, but rather I found a workaround and I'm back in
business.
I moved the Window from the second screen so that a quarter inch or
so of it is on the main screen. The issue vanished.
Regardless i'd jump at the chance to discover what wasn't right, and what I can do to run it

If you post some console output we could try and figure out what's going wrong...
See WineHQ FAQ: 10.1.1 How can I get a debugging log (a.k.a. terminal output)?
