Needs help fixing the DualShock 3 mapping

Post by hjahre »

Hi,

During the last days I've tried to correctly map my DualShock 3 controller for use with racing games. I've tried both Need for Speed Porsche and Colin McRae Rally 2.0. The problem is that the left and right triggers are mapped as digital buttons, not analogue triggers. This is making it quite difficult to control the speed in those games, as the throttle and brakes are either on or off.

I found out that Wine has an built in key mapper for joysticks, but I have not been able to get it working. This might be that I have misunderstood how to map the joystick keys and axis for wine.

I've attached a file with the event names and codes for the different buttons and analogue inputs. It would be nice if someone could help me :)

Thanks in advance
