help WSALookupServiceBegin

Post by jpo »

Hello, I try to install the program setup-toweb6.exe to download since:
https://www.lauyan.com/fr/download-toweb.html
with wine-1.6.2 on one Debian 3.16.36-1+deb8u2 (2016-10-19) i686 GNU/Linux.
I have the following error message when I launch the order wine ./setup-toweb6.exe
[1006/212325:ERROR:network_change_notifier_win.cc(157)] WSALookupServiceBegin failed with: 8
> [1006/212334:ERROR:renderer_main.cc(207)] Running without renderer sandbox
> [1006/212336:ERROR:renderer_main.cc(207)] Running without renderer sandbox
> [1006/212336:ERROR:channel.cc(300)] RawChannel read error (unknown)
> [1006/212336:ERROR:channel.cc(300)] RawChannel read error (unknown)
> [1006/212341:ERROR:renderer_main.cc(207)] Running without renderer sandbox
> wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000001c at address 0x0000:0x10aa0a83 (thread 00b4), starting debugger...
The short cut is well creates on my desk
when I it carry out it and when I carry out it and a window opens:
The TOWeb.exe program encountered a serious problem and must be closed.

If not all the other programs launched with wine do not have a problem !

Thank you for your help

Please did you find a way for this ? I got exactly the same issue. I can close the serious problem message and go on browsing TOWEB pages. But the message comes back repeatedly and I can't write in the main window.

Works for me an Arch with 1.9.23.
Could you try a newer wine version? 1.6.2 is way out of date.

You need to fix both those things, especially the first one.

Hello,

I am using Debian Jessie like jpo and got the same TOWeb error. I tried to install 1.9.23 and gave up because it doesn't look to be compatible with jessie stable, dependencies errors. Maybe different with Archilinux.

Below a copy of detailed issues on installing wine-devel 1.9.23.
I understand that libpcap0.8 and libgphoto2-6 have to be uninstalled before going on.
But, if I try to uninstall them, many useful packages, firstly Gnome, have to be uninstalled and I fear to break my install.

*** root@pc-jean-debian:/home/jean *** # aptitude install wine-devel
Les NOUVEAUX paquets suivants vont être installés :
libcapi20-3{a} libcapi20-3:i386{a} libexif12:i386{a} libgd3:i386{a} libgphoto2-6:i386{ab} libgphoto2-port10:i386{a} libieee1284-3:i386{a}

Les paquets suivants ont des dépendances non satisfaites :

Big progress but not complete. I commented out winehq in my sources-list and I installed from jessie-backports wine 1.8 5, wine-development 1.9.22, wine32-development 1.9.22 and wine64 1.8.5. I could install TOWeb without any error with the command "WINEARCH=wine32 wine Téléchargements/setup-toweb6.exe". But when running TOWeb I get the same error than with wine 1.6. I think now this error is generated by an Internet issue with Gecko. I go on searching...
