I re-installed Gamemaker 8.0 and it opens fine but when trying to run a compiled game I get the following:

Winecfg version is stated as being 1.6.2 which used to work with Gamemaker flawlessly. I suspect I need some Windows drivers but am unsure which ones. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Can't figure out OLE error
Re: Can't figure out OLE error
Start by upgrading Wine; 1.6.2 is over two years old and no longer supported, and the package you are using contains unapproved patches. Use the WineHQ packages. https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu

Re: Can't figure out OLE error
When I upgraded Wine, Gamemaker no longer worked even on starting a game. This older Wine was the only one that used to work with Gamemaker 8.0
