Sony Vegas 11 Low Memory Error

I followed the install instructions for Sony Vegas 11.x x32 in the AppDB exactly (except I switched to Windows 7 mode to get the installer to run as v11 isn't supported on XP) and am running into the low memory error seen below from the 10.x test results:

It seems this person didn't find a solution to this problem. Wine applications are allocated as much memory as needed correct? My Mint 18 x64 machine is equipped with 8GB of RAM.

I have come to the conclusion this is due to the 2GB memory allocation limit for a 32-bit Wine prefix. I will try a 64-bit one and see if I can get it running under Mono. Since .NET isn't supported in 64-bit Wine I'll just set up a VM if this fails.

Isn't there a way to extend the memory allocation limit?
