Hi folks,
I want to install the Flixster Desktop App on the Ubuntu 14.04 distribution via wine.
When I try to install it with wine, the FlixsterSetup.exe try to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, fails and the following message occurs:
Component Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 (x86 and x64) has failed to install with the following error message:
"A failure occurred attempting to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5."
The following components were not installed:
- Windows Installer 4.5
The following components failed to install:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 (x86 and x64)
So, I installed winetricks and used the following commands to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Winet ... winetricks
bash winetricks dotnet45 corefonts
This installation works fine.
Unfortunately, the installation of Flixster doesn't work yet.
Has anybody an idea what I can do?
