Problem with Oracle Forms app with reports called by dll

Post by bierioza »

Hi.

Firstly I don't know it is a wine or linux issue. Have old Oracle Forms app where some reports are called via external dll. That's are BIRT reports. Everything works fine on debian with wine 1.6.2 but not on latest Fedora's. When I try to call report there are some logs generated to file. Report engine have problem with polish chars.

Have locale:

Code: Select all

localectl
   System Locale: LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8
       VC Keymap: pl2
      X11 Layout: pl
       X11 Model: pc105
I got error:

Code: Select all

@bierioza,

That looks a bit ugly... The log I mean!!

Thoughts...
  1. Have you duplicated the settings for the old (Debian-based) Wineprefix e.g. architecture (32-bit/64-bit), and any overrides used?
  2. A regression test could be useful... That's not to far back in the (Git) tree to walk to (earlier versions of Wine can be quite hard to even build!!)
  3. The log snippets you've sent are useful - but I'd basically say you want a specialist!! Especially when you're looking at unicode/wide char handling issues. Perhaps you could subscribe to the [email protected] mailing list...
Post your problem with a link to a pastebin site - with the full relay log.
Don't forget to post the command to run your application, and Wineprefix/override info...
  4. Alternatively, or additionally, file a bug - at the WineHQ bugzilla - with the same information as 3. ...
Sorry I can't be more helpful...

Yes, but Debian has a quite old packages, so it isn't easy to do it on Fedora.

Thx for that. I'll try this.

OK. Thx.
