Installing Kinect Studio with Wine

I am attempting to install Kinect Studio 1.8 on Ubuntu MATE 15.10, using Wine.

Kinect Studio is an utility, included in Kinect Developer Toolkit (downloadable from here), which allows to reproduce .xed files.

I am not interested in programming with Kinect, but just in installing this tool.

I have downloaded the Developer Toolkit from the aforementioned link, and I try the following for executing the file:

Unfortunately, if I click on "Accept & Install", the installation fails.

Your Wine version is two years old and no longer supported. Start by upgrading. https://www.winehq.org/download/

I have followed the instructions for Ubuntu, and now I have Wine 1.9.1

However, the problem is still there: installation fails and the log file is the same as above.

Any hints?

I have tried another way to use just Kinect Studio, without installing the whole Developer Kit (simply because I don't it all).
So I took the files related with Kinect Studio from Windows, and tried to execute them on Wine.

I have executed the following:
1) Removed the .wine folder
2) export WINEARCH=win32
3) winetricks msxml3
4) winetricks dotnet45
5) winetricks d3dx10 d3dx11_42 d3dx11_43 d3dx9 d3dx9_29 d3dx9_28 d3dx9_31 d3dx9_35 d3dx9_36 d3dx9_39 d3dx9_42 d3dx9_43 d3dxof directx9 dxdiag dxdiagn dxsdk_jun2010 gdiplus vcrun2012 vcrun2013

Then, I have set the operating system to Windows 8 (and actually I've also tried Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, with same results).

Now, I am able to start Kinect Studio, but an error message appears:
