Winecfg doesnt work

Hey guys
i need help because when i try to run .exe file it does nothing and i try to run it from terminal or to write "winecfg" in the terminal
it responds with

anyone knows how to fix it or why does it happen?

Make sure you don't have any Wine processes left running in the background. If that's not the problem, try deleting the wineprefix, then run winecfg to recreate it.

Thanks for the help but i refreshed my computer and it fixed it
