Problems With World of warcraft

Post by Heroguy293 »

I installed World of Warcraft to my linux box several months back.

Ever since then, Whenever I alt tab out of the game and go back in, whenever I try to attack a monster it says Invalid target, and I can't attack anything. The whole keyboard freezes

You didn't say which wine version you are using, but the current development version is 1.7.50.

I have seen the problem you described on machines that were running both under Wine and native Windows.
Usually, if you delete the WTF and Cache folders in the World of Warcraft folder the problem will be solved.

Is the game running under 32-bit wine? If so, then only 3GB is available to the game and can cause immense disk swapping when using ALT-Tab.
Try reinstalling the game in a 64-bit wineprefix.
