Trying to make a port on my own, where to start?

Post by cobaltph »

I'd like to port a videogame i like a lot to linux ( the game is Reflex Fps http://reflexfps.net/ ).

How can i find which libraries are required by an exe application in order to run?

Was my question unclear? Or really nobody knows how to make a wine port on the official wine forum?

I'm perplexed.

What exactly do you mean by "port"? Nothing on the game's website suggests it is distributed under a free license; you can't port it without permission of the copyright owner.

If "port" is just your way of saying you want to run it in Wine, then just do it. If it doesn't work out of the box, post terminal output.
