Problem with the Iris software

Post by Equatorial »

Hello everyone :)

I don't use Wine very much so I'm a bit lost. I tried to make work a software called "Iris", it's an image processing software for astronomy, and it's available on windows only. When I run it, it work but when I want to do conversion video (it convert avi video in fit files), it say "Decompressor not found", so I searched on the internet but the results are for windows only, it's about codecs.... So I installed a lot of codec (on a linux mint distro, called Distro Astro, for amateur astronomers) but it didn't work out. (my English is poor, sorry ^_^)

Thanks for your future answers :)

Anyone ?

If this is a codec problem, could you advise me what type of codecs I'm suppose to download ?

Thanks.

I solved the problem, it was indeed a codec problem. I had to install "icodecs" with Winetricks, and it work perfectly.

I will not thank you, you mean people ! (I'm just kidding ! )

Thanks for the.... views ? :)

See you next time !
