MWS play module errors

Post by alaalba »

So, I recently updated my wine version from 1.6.2 to 1.7.38 and my MWS play module stopped working. The only thing that didn't work on 1.6.2 was the die roll function. Everything else functioned fine. Now there are no life counters, no mana counters, my whole playfield and hand areas are a solid shade of gray, and the cards leave afterimages. It's basically become impossible to use. I took screenshots, but apparently they're too big to upload, if anyone wants to see the, I can upload to imgur and provide a link. Any help would be much appreciated.

Does downgrading fix it?

I don't know, and I don't want to try it. Upgrading was how I got Civilization 3 to stop crashing which is a program I care far more about

Try reinstalling the game to a clean wineprefix in 1.7.38.

Run a regression test and file a bug. http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting

While following the directions in the regression testing, I got the message:

configure: error: in `/home/alaalba/wine-git':
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables

after running the command:

CC="ccache gcc -m32" ./configure --verbose --disable-tests

I looked on the askubuntu forums, and the answers for how to fix this error assumed a greater knowledge of the basics of this than I currently have.
