Unity 5 editor doesn't show text

Post by bartczukkuba »

I've managed to install Unity 5 with PlayOnLinux on my Ubuntu 14.04 with Wine 1.7.34 but I have problems with editor: when I open any project, it doesn't show text in GUI
When I try to run Unity with wine I get the following before opening any project:

Does anyone have any idea what it says, or how should I approach the problem? I've tried reinstalling Unity5 and updating directx with PlayOnLinux, but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

There's no AppDB entry for Unity 5, but the one for Unity 4 says that it needs Tahoma. If you don't have that font installed, try installing it.

If that doesn't fix it and you want further help here, reinstall to a clean wineprefix using the latest development release of plain Wine. POL is not supported here.
