No matter what I do, that error pops up. Please help! I am not super well-versed in Linux yet. I am running Linux Mint 17.1 CinnamonE: /var/cache/apt/archives/wine1.6_1%3a1.6.2-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb: trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/wine-auto', which is also in package wine32-unstable 1.7.15-0.1
Cannot seem to install Wine 1.6
Cannot seem to install Wine 1.6
Hello all! I have never had an issue with WINE in the past, I don't know why I am having this issue now. I have exhausted everything that I can think of to no avail. The error is as follows:
Re: Cannot seem to install Wine 1.6
You seem to be trying to install wine 1.6 when you already have 1.7 installed. This is probably not what you want.
Re: Cannot seem to install Wine 1.6
After a little more fanagling, I got it to install properly by use of the "force overwrite" conmand. But the same error happened if I tried to install 1.7. It's just an install bug.
Re: Cannot seem to install Wine 1.6
It is possible the packages should have a "Conflicts" set and don't. It may be a good idea to uninstall all wine packages and then just install the version you want.
