Cubic Castles - Works well except for the fog

Hi Everyone ^.^

I recently found a fun little f2p 3rd person Voxel MMO called Cubic Castles. I play it on my tablet but figured I would really like to run it on my desktop as it does have a windows version.

What works:
Install, Login, Movement, Camera Movement, Chat, Hud, Skymap, Menus, Options

What Does Not:
Fog (normaly a distance fog) is so close that it blocks everything from view except things that are close to the camera while in realms (worlds) and on the overmap it makes everything white (but not the hud, chat or character names. When going to the skymap (an overworld map) there is a moment when everything is clear, displays proporly, with no fog, map is also not affected by fog.

Figured I would see if anyone here has any ideas or tips on what might cause or fix it =P

Specs:
  • AMD64 4400x2
  • 2gb Ram
  • Geforce gt 220 1gb Nvidia 331.113 Driver (also x.org driver)
  • Ubuntu 14.10 64bit
  • Wine Versions Tried: 1.7.34 on fresh ubuntu/wine install, 1.7.34, 1.5.29 with playonlinux
  • Tried Disabling ingame graphic options. With playonlinux tried d3dx9, differnt glsl, directdraw, offscreen rendering, multisampling etc options.
  • Also experianced same issue with intel graphics based laptop running ubuntu 14.10 32bit
