White screen using newest line messenger app on ubuntu 12.04

I am using ubuntu 12.04 and not 14.04 because 12.04 LTS is easier to switch between English Chinese keyboard inputs. I recently installed line 1.6.2 stable and an older version of line messenger app that does not support video calling.

When I start the old version of line using wine it works fine except for some slight glitchyness. When I click on upgrade line or when i try to use the newer version of line it loads in wine but goes to a white screen. When I move the window around I can see the window fine until I release the mouse and the window becomes locked in place and becomes all white again.

I would like to fix this bug since many people in asia are using line for video calls and I need the newer version of line to work for that function anyone else tried? I did the walk through listed here http://www.tanmoybiswas.com/post/930179 ... untu-linux

It worked but only with the older version of line provided on that page new version of line
with video call function still is not working
