Hoepli Click doesn't work

Hoepli Click is a Italian - English dictionary software for Windows, pubblished in 2003. using Wine 1.6.2, the installation completed succesfully, but when i try to start it, Hoepli Click doesn't work, and appear the following error window:


what can i do to resolve the problem?

p.s.:
if i made some grammatical errors, i'm sorry. i don't speak english very well.

The file mentioned in the popup message, msdsm.ocx, is part of Windows Media Player. Try installing WMP9 or WMP10 with winetricks.

i have just installed winetricks in my Linux Distribution (Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon), but in the "install an app" software list, i don't see "windows media player" or "wmp" title. where is it?

sorry, now i got it! wmp9 and wmp10 installers are in "select the default wine prefix" --> "install a Windows DDL or components". unfortunately each installers doesn't work. when i try to install one of them, one error message appears:

what can i do?

The error message you got for WMP10 is very clear: install to a 32 bit wineprefix. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#32_bit_wineprefix

i just installed WMP10 using the following command:

WINEPREFIX='/home/MY_USERNAME/.wine32' WINEARCH='win32' winetricks wmp10

then i installed Hoepli Click with Wine but it didn't work and appeared the same error message:


why doesn't it work? and what can i do?
