Battlefield 4 + Mantle + WINE

I'm wondering if Mantle API which is suppose to be added in BF4 soon could make playing it under WINE possible. Any thoughts?

gutigen don't hold you breath. Mantle APi is only supported by AMD graphics cards. Currently not supported by Linux Drivers even the AMD closed source ones. Since Mantle is a replacement to opengl and direct x this means its a complete new interface wrapper for wine. This interface wrapper how possible it is we will need to have Linux Mantle ABI supporting drivers to compare against the Windows Mantle ABI drivers to see what can be done.

Battlefield 4 native for Linux most likely will become before Mantle is any use to wine for compatibility.
