Questions about wineboot

Post by Bamm »

Hi,

I understand that I can create a new wineprefix using wineboot. In fact, while playing with wine, i often delete my .wine and use wineboot to create a clean wineprefix.

However, .wine always comes with some defaults which I change whenever I create a new one.

(1) The default wineprefix maps the My Documents folder to /home/bamm. I always change this to /home/bamm/Documents. Is it possible to set it up somewhere that a new prefix created would already have this change?

(2) Is it possible for a new prefix to already have a particular file (such as a DLL) inside? This way, I don't need to run winetricks after a wineboot.

(3) Alternatively, instead of the prefix containing the DLL, can the DLL be placed somewhere where it can be seen by wine? I'm thinking a place such as /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/wine/fakedlls/ but I'm not sure if it will work.
