Installing old version of wine, dependency problems

Post by Eskoth »

Hi, I'm quite new to using ubuntu and am trying to install Wine 1.5.19 on an intel system

I've removed and purged all versions of wine on my computer, and am trying to install by using files from http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/archive/binary/

However, when I try to open it (wine1.5-i386_1.5.19-0ubuntu1_i386.deb) the ubutnu software centre says 'Dependency not satisfiable:wine1.5(=1.5.19-0ubuntu1)'. I've googled this kind of error, but I'm really not sure what it wants me to do.

Thanks

That's a package manager issue; ask your distro.
