Greetings!
I'm a teacher and I've been using MS Word and having some successes concerning using MS Word in Wine with Debian Wheezy as my OS of choice. However, sometimes the spacing gets messed up (i.e. word boundaries are crossed so two words appear like one, header spacing is tabbed all over the place, etc). These documents were downloads by zip from Blackboard (an online software for communication and dissemination of information between teachers and students basically). I would just use Blackboard's viewer and write comments with it if I didn't hate it so much. And yes, I've ruled out that it's student error. I don't particularly want to throw down and buy Windows 7 to make this happen. Please help.

What Wine version, and what version of Word? Are you sure the problem isn't with the documents themselves--have you verified that they display properly in Windows? Can you upload a document that demonstrates the problem?
