I am trying to run a program I installed from a cd I purchased several years ago. It is called Piano and Keyboard Method. It installed mostly without a hitch. At the end of the install it poped a message "The program Keyboard.exe has encountered a problem and must be shutdown". I also get this message when trying to start the piano course from the wine menu. I can find no exsisting references to the piano course or Keyboard.exe in reference to wine. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to fall back to buying an old XP computer from Goodwill to run the course. Thanks.

What version of Wine are you using? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade. If it doesn't work in the latest development release, post terminal output. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

I was running 1.3.28. I removed it with apt-get and installed 1.5 by using ppa:Ubuntu-wine and still got the problem. I think I'll just spend some money and get an old XP computer from Goodwill. Thanks for trying.
