Sonic Adventure DX can't get past Sega screen on Fedora 16

Post by dx_hero » Wed Jan 23, 2013 7:29 pm

I'm using my legit copy of Sonic Adventure DX and downloaded a cracked exe for portability. I've installed DirectX 9 using Wine Tricks but for some reason the game hangs at the Sega screen. Has anyone got this game working with Wine on Fedora? Thanks for your time.

Cracked exes are not supported here, but I can give you a couple of general suggestions.

You didn't mention what Wine version you're using; if it's not the latest development release, upgrade. Installing all of directx is generally not recommended, and the most recent test report in the AppDB does not mention needing to do that, so I would recommend trying a clean wineprefix.
