Error when first loading Wine

Post by HdWildBill » Sat Jan 19, 2013 9:54 am

I just downloaded an update to Wine 1.5.22 and when I launched an app after the update was installed I got a dialog window saying it could not find Gecko and asked to install it. I told it to install it and it acted like it did but then it kept coming back. I canceled it and the app went ahead an launched. This happens on each windows app on the initial launch.

I'm using LinuxMint XFCE 13. Just wanted to report it for he development team.

1.5.22 requires wine-gecko 1.9. It looks like Ubuntu hasn't built a wine-gecko1.9 package yet; if you don't want to wait, you can download the msi file from Sourceforge yourself. http://wiki.winehq.org/Gecko
