I have a 690gtx card and ubuntu installed on my pc. I'm using the latest nvidia drivers and I can confirm it's working because I play heroes of newerth and stuff moves perfect on highest settings. When I try to load a wine game such as EVE online I immediately notice a huge drop in performance. It's like wine is not using my driver at all. Mouse flickers, moving stuff hangs and lags, FPS is 60 or 120 - always the refresh rate of my monitor never less or more.
This is a beast of a card and should run anything you throw at it, my previous GTS4something was running EVE with no issues at all.
Any idea what I can do to fix this?

Re: Wine not using my video card
What graphics driver do you have installed?
Please upgrade to latest wine (1.5.21, soon 1.5.22), run from command line and post terminal output.
If you are on a 64 bit linux, you'd need to install a few 32bit packages, something like "ia32-libs" and 32bit graphics driver.
