I need Help with dxdiag and msinfo

Post by thierrys »

Hello,

first sorry for my english, i'm writing from France.
I ve installed wine on my ubuntu 12.04
I ve installed the play for free everquest 2 version : it work good
Then i bought sone SC to a buy a class i like... they took my money but but when i want to pay in the maket place of the station is always closed ...

I ve contacted the support and they said :
we will need you to send us two files about your computer so we can determine the cause of your issue:

DxDiag.txt
MSinfo.txt

We have included instructions on how to generate them below at the bottom of the email.

To create the files on your hard drive:

Press and hold the Windows key and tap the R key on your keyboard.
In the box that pops up type DXDIAG and press Enter on your keyboard.
Click the "Save all Information" button, located at the bottom of the program window.
In the “Save As” box click the icon in the top bar, and then click on “Desktop”.
Save the file as "dxdiag.txt"

You’ll need to do the Windows key and R trick again only this time you’ll type MSINFO32
Click on the "File" menu and choose "Export..."
In the File name box type MSinfo and click on “Save”
I need help !
I ve try to execut dxdiag.exe found in wine/drive_c/windows/system32 using wine
but it 's doing nothing special ...

Someone know what to do ?

Thank a lot in advance

thats a standard reply they always want. As soon as you won't be able to give it, or tell them your on Wine, they'll just tell you "sorry we don't support that"

If your running on Wine and having problems and its Wine related, they will not help you at all. If you run on a Windows machine and can reproduce the same problem, then give them the info from that Windows machine... if it works on Windows and not on Wine, then you'll have to find a fix yourself.
