Fairy Bloom Freesia

Post by DrTaz »

Has anyone tried to run this on Wine? I just tried this a few moments ago, and this is the error message from a terminal:

alexramos@ubuntu:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Fairy Bloom Freesia_Trial$ wine FairyBloomFreesiaTrial.exe
err:module:import_dll Library X3DAudio1_7.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\Fairy Bloom Freesia_Trial\\FairyBloomFreesiaTrial.exe") not found
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\Program Files\\Fairy Bloom Freesia_Trial\\FairyBloomFreesiaTrial.exe" failed, status c0000135

I copied the X3DAudio file (from windows\system32) from a Windows 7 64 bit install, and those same error messages still appear. Does anyone know where the Thunk file is in Windows 7... if I can copy that at all?

I'm currently running Ubuntu 12.10, using Wine 1.4.1.

My guess is that this game is 32 bit; you can't use 64 bit dlls with 32 bit games/apps.

Your Wine version is also old; upgrade.

Hello, i tested this game with wine 1.4 using Xubuntu 12.04 64 bits, downloaded with steam for linux; nvidia driver ver. 310.14
Game works perfect, the only thing needed with a fresh wineprefix is: winetricks xact_jun2010 nothing else.

Interesting. I'm on Ubuntu 12.10. My ASUS laptop uses a Intel HD Graphics GPU (not sure which one atm). Not sure I want to downgrade back to 1.4, but I might try it.

Maybe try upgrading the intel drivers instead?
